After the release of first single PRAXIS DUB in September, dub reggae maximalists THE WEAPON IS SOUND drop the first installment of their DIRECT/INDIRECT EP.
During the summer of 2012/2013 The Weapon Is Sound, fresh of a relentless schedule of live shows and festivals, entered Yo-?yo! Studios to track our new record.
Essentially throwing all traditional dub studio practices to the wind, metronomes and minimal arrangements were dropped in favor of live recordings and the heavy psych?rock influences that have become a hallmark of The Weapon live sound.
After months spent drowning in the echo chamber, The Weapon is pleased to announce the online release of EP 1: DIRECT DUB, on The Community Records.
The 5 track EP will be live and available for download from The Weapon Is Sound and Community Bandcamps as a digital download.
To celebrate, we’re throwing a massive immersive show alongside some of our favorite bands and a massive army of Community Records producers and artists, immersive entertainment and dubwise eats.
In addition to a DEVASTATING lineup of acts and DJ’s, we’ll also have Kaz’s Kazz’s Caribbean Kitchen serving authentic jerk chicken BBQ and Blak Market Empanadas serving badass South American food all evening.
