I was lucky enough to be asked by production company Siamese to come on board as a composer and animator for The Beaufort Street Festival’s projection mapping of the Alexander Buildings in November 2013.
I’ve been developing a projection based project for the Naik live show so this was the perfect opportunity to continue my experimentation and exploration of projection, animation and music.
We agreed on using one of my existing tracks ‘ Visit From Hell’ as a foundation to build the animation and music around and let the track and animation develop fairly naturally as we progressed with the project.
The project actually allowed me to rework the song in a way I hadn’t considered before and wound up influencing the album version of the song quite a bit.
This video is the highlights from the night and features a snippet of ‘Visit From Hell’ the first single from my new album. The full track and accompanying music video will be released in early 2014.
